Fire Rated Fire Shutter

To complete our fire rated door range, we can supply and install an automatic fire rated roller shutter door with up to 4-hours fire rating.

These doors incorporate a clutch disengagement system which can be manually or remotely operated by either a fusible link or a solenoid release (see below). The disengagement of the clutch initiates the controlled closure of the door curtain under its own weight.

The controlled descent facility ensures guaranteed closing of the curtain with the additional benefit of allowing frequent testing of the fire containment system without risk of damage.

• Solenoid operation by 24 volt DC signal from the smoke detection or fire alarm system.

In addition to the standard galvanised steel finish we can also fully powder coat the door, hood cover, guides, etc.

As the door spends the majority of time in the open position we can also powder coat “all visible parts” to save on cost (the main body of the shutter will remain in galvanised steel and will only become visible in the event of a fire or test scenario).
