Tom Stafford Runs Stratford Shakespeare Half Marathon in Memory of His Father, Supporting Leukaemia Care

Stratford-upon-Avon – Sunday 26th April 2026 – This Sunday, Tom Stafford will take on the Stratford Shakespeare Half Marathon in honour of his late father, Tony Stafford, while raising vital funds for Leukaemia Care.
Tom is running in memory of Tony Stafford, who sadly passed away on Monday 22nd December 2025 after battling Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Tony was a valued and long-standing member of the Bluseal Doors team, where he dedicated 13 years of service. Tom now continues his own career at the same company, making this challenge even more personal and meaningful.
Speaking ahead of the race, Tom said:
“This is for my Dad. He was incredibly strong throughout his illness, and I want to do something that honours him while helping others going through similar battles. Leukaemia Care provides amazing support to families, and I’m proud to raise money for them.”
The Stratford Shakespeare Half Marathon, known for its scenic route through historic Stratford-upon-Avon and surrounding countryside, will mark an emotional milestone for Tom as he channels both grief and determination into his run.
This is just the beginning of Tom’s fundraising journey. His ultimate goal is to run the London Marathon in 2027, where he hopes to continue raising awareness and funds for Leukaemia Care on an even bigger stage.
Tom is calling on friends, colleagues, and the wider community to support his efforts and help make a difference.
